Don and his wife, Lee, singing at our Summer 2013 performance<\/p><\/div>\n

Don Carlile has been with Long Beach Choral for over 6 years. \u00a0He has lots of singing experience including the South Bay Master Chorale. \u00a0However, he has a soft spot for the LBC and especially Eliza. \u00a0Don says, “Eliza is the finest director I have had the pleasure of singing for (and I’ve had some fine directors). She knows how to get what she wants from the choir in a positive way.”<\/p>\n

A fun fact about Don is that he’s\u00a0a third generation pastor’s spouse. \u00a0His wife, Lee also sings in the chorale.<\/p>\n

Don shared something about his musical tastes that surprised a lot of us. \u00a0Of course he loves the Brahms’ Requiem, but when he said he also enjoyed country, jazz, folk, rock,\u00a0and hip-hop, well, we were very impressed with the breadth of his tastes.<\/p>\n

When he isn’t singing, he enjoys reading, cooking, being online, and participating in church activities.<\/p>\n
